What Does It Mean?"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"18900\" class=\"elementor elementor-18900 elementor-8297\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-794f438 elementor-section-full_width elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default qodef-elementor-content-no\" data-id=\"794f438\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-c189fea\" data-id=\"c189fea\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6cdb71d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6cdb71d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"198\" data-end=\"742\">Looking for a second home in Trentino?<br data-start=\"236\" data-end=\"239\" \/>If you\u2019ve been browsing property listings for houses in the mountains or on Lake Garda in Trentino, you\u2019ve probably come across terms like <em data-start=\"378\" data-end=\"423\">\u201cexempt from primary residence requirement\u201d<\/em>, <em data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"463\">\u201cexempt from first-home restriction\u201d<\/em> or <em data-start=\"467\" data-end=\"499\">\u201cexempt from the Gilmozzi Law\u201d<\/em>.<br data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"503\" \/>If that\u2019s the case, you\u2019re in luck: it means you\u2019ll be able to use that property as a second home without any issues.<br data-start=\"620\" data-end=\"623\" \/>If, on the other hand, there\u2019s no mention of this, it\u2019s best to double-check\u2014because you could face very steep fines.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"781\"><strong>WHAT THE GILMOZZI LAW SAYS<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"1069\">Provincial Law 16\/2005, also known as the <strong data-start=\"824\" data-end=\"840\">Gilmozzi Law<\/strong> (named after its sponsor), is legislation designed to limit the construction of houses intended for tourist use.<br data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"956\" \/>It applies exclusively to a number of municipalities in Trentino that are classified as \u201ctourist destinations.\u201d<\/p><p data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1432\">The law allows the construction of new residential buildings only if they meet one requirement:<br data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1169\" \/>they must be used as the <strong data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1215\">primary residence<\/strong> of the end user.<br data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1235\" \/>Not necessarily the owner, however.
